The Holidays are here!! I know it’s exciting and also a smidge overwhelming..it came SO FAST! Haha But honestly it’s my favorite time of year and one of the things I love giving/receiving is the Mixed popcorn tin. I know super random but it’s just so good! Mix cheddar and caramel covered popcorn together and I’m in Heaven!!! I legit have at least 6 of these tins just like stacked in my garage full of random items, they provide phenomenal storage but lets face it …they’re not really “designer”, Lol. I mean I love snowmen just as much as the next guy but the holiday specific images makes them a bit odd to leave around the house year round. So I came up with a solution for that exact issue.

I started with one of my many popcorn tins. Cleaned it off and out using 409 and Dawn dish soap and let it dry.

Once it was dry I sprayed it with 3 coats of Krylon Super Maxx (This stuff is amazing by the way not sponsored just true,LOL.) be sure to let it dry thoroughly between coats . This will prevent it flaking or scraping off the slick metal. After the spray paint was all dry I added a cute little Knob I had from an old dresser.

Just drill a small hole through the lid then push the knob through. Super simple and adds a cute little bit of vintage bling. after this step you can chose to leave it as is or add some extra designs to your tin, depending on what you’re doing with it. I put The Dizz’s name on it and filled it up with dog food. It fits perfectly on the counter and is super Cute!

i’m excited to see what uses ya’ll come up with for your empty tins. Thanks so much for stopping by and as always if you have any questions just drop a comment below.
